upma

ingredients 

🌿1 cup rava 
🌿⅓ cup finely potato
🌿1 teaspoon chopped green chillies
🌿1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger 
🌿2Tbs coriander leaves 🌿curry 🍃 leaves
🌿 peanuts 🥜
 🌿1 teaspoon urad dal
🌿 Salt
🌿 sugar
🌿 curd
🌿 ghee
🌿dry roast the rava on medium flame to puff them 
🌿for 1 cup rava take 2 cups of water 

Method 

🌿take 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp ghee 
🌿let the water boil 
🌿Begin to roast the rava. 
🌿The rava or sooji grains should become fragrant and start to look dry, separate In a pan, 
🌿heat 1tablespoons ghee
1Tablespoon oil
🌿 add mustard seed chilli ginger with  udad Dal pinch of Hing And peanuts
🌿By the time the peanuts get golden the dal should also be golden.
🌿 now add 🥔 potato
🌿 Add rava
🌿Then add salt 1 teaspoon sugar. Sugar is optional and you can skip it. We prefer a slight sweet taste in the upma and hence we add it.
🌿Continue to add and stir the rava
🌿 add water
🌿 Quickly stir and mix very well. The rava grains will absorb water, swell and get cooked.
🌿Cover and allow the rava upma to steam for 2 to 3 minutes on a low heat.
 🌿Lastly add about 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves (You can add grated coconut 🥥
